Gender Balance - It’s About Time

2030 = 50% women at the municipal political table

That’s a pretty lofty goal, in just three election cycles. It’s especially ambitious when we consider it has taken 100 years to get to half way there.

Today, only 26% of local municipal politicians are women in Grey Bruce. The work of electHER Now is to help everyone understand the importance of equal representation, while creating resources and a strong support network for female leaders. When local government is more diverse, we all win!

We are looking for women who want to run and others who want to help support them on their leadership journey.

Many hands make light work. At electHER Now, we are always looking for more volunteers and offer opportunities for those to serve on our Planning Team, as part of a less formal Working Group or just occasionally pitch in.
