2024 Learning Series Videos

In April 2023, the “Building Positive Connections” learning event was held, with experienced panelists candidly discussing strategies to form better connections with fellow council members, staff and the public.

In Fall 2024 (date to be announced), a second session will be held entitled “Building Positive Connections Online!”, and will focus on various online methods they have used to build positive connections. The event video will be added following the event.

March 2024 - Host Councillor Joan John (Southgate) is joined by Dr. Olive Yonge (Topic Speaker), Mayor Sue Carleton (Georgian Bluffs) and Councillor Alysson Storey (Chatham-Kent) as they explore the tips and pitfalls of creating positive connections with council peers, municipal staff and the community.

Our meeting place is home to many Indigenous peoples, First Nations and Metis from across Turtle Island whose histories, languages, and cultures continue to influence our vibrant community. May we live with respect in peace and friendship with all its diverse peoples.
